Altough i've felt the urge to say it sometimes after some groups

However another one I would like to see go away is "Elite group lfm" that just screams out douche bag

One time when I was testing out the swear filter I tossed out a simple

"Looking for someone who's not an assclown to head to piken square."

Several people actually pmed me with things such as "I've never been referred to as an "assclown", I'll go with you if you want. :P"

I wasn't actually being serious, I just wanted to see if I could say assclown. And I already had piken square. But the person who PMed me first didn't...so I went with him anyways to get him there.

On a more serious sense though, yeah, I definately only consider going with people with requests such as

"Hey, looking for someone up for the mission." Just something short and simple does it for me. Well, if the guy's name is something like "Uber von Rocked" I problably wouldn't go with them, but you get the idea.

On one note, looking for someone whose not an assclown shows more of a sense of humor than "LFG no morons" or "LFG no n00bs"

Of course, I partied once with someone named Pwner of n00bs, and he was a good teamate....

What can I say, he was the odd one of the bunch.

Yeah, I know how you feel. Some of the LFG requests ("no morons," especially) are simply abysmal, which is why I try to make mine eye-catching and bouncy.

"Fiery redheaded Elementalist looking for big, strapping Warriors, soothing Monks, to accompany her on explorations out into the wild outdoors!"

Stuff like that. It actually really gets people's attention. XD

Wow, you guys all could've COMPLETELY misunderstood someone who's asking for Non-morons only. I've done that several times (although I usually say something like 'Group of X LFM--non-idiots/teamplayers only!'), and every time I do it it's usually a fantastic group. There have been a couple that have been some of the best PUGs I've ever been a part of. It simply works, not because people say "Whoops, I'm a moron, better not ask for an invite," but because people go in knowing exactly what to expect. If I ask for people who will use teamwork, everyone who join will know that they're expected to use teamwork and pay attention to what's going on.

And no, I'm NOT the moron that yells at everyone else in the group. I get frustrated if they do something stupid, but I have never and will never blame the loss of a mission on one person.

So please, PLEASE know that people who ask for non-morons aren't morons who will blame the loss on you if you slip up, but instead people who are tired of grouping with players who blatantly ignore the mission objectives, the state of the rest of the group, and what the rest of the group is doing.

I never join these groups because I play a Monk. As I am sure any other Monk will tell you, you have to be a moron to play a Monk and expect to make it through the desert using PUGs. But hey, even morons can win the lotto, right?

Well you would expect that by the time people make it to Lions Arch, they would have realised sprinting miles ahead of the group into a bunch of Ettins will result in your death. Or that standing still spamming high damage mage spells, or big healing spells or both, at the front of a group or in the middle of a group of high level monsters would also result in your death.
And the amount of people that quit when you tell them this, 'dude want to wait up so a monk can heal you if you need it?', 'STFU noobz0r' Uber Paladin99 has left the game.....

PvP is even funnier, iv watched countless warriors charge straight into anything resembling an enemy, usually going for the other Warrior/Monk even though there are a bunch of mesmers or whatever right next to it.

/hands up, I make mistakes too, people do, youll know youv made an error and will sit jaw clenched at the pc, but I never seem to find a party that can go more than 5 minutes without somone dropping, or mass wipes occuring cos some mage runs away from a fire imp into 500 Tenguti Braves or whatever.

Where do these atleast civil and mature parties hang out? You dont have to be some kind of uberlord, just being able to laugh at a mistake without abusing everyone, and putting a bit of thought into the team would be nice. Do you all hang out in some special district or something?

My favorite thing in arena's is to use /sit and watch the endless amounts of Wa/Mo's just run headfirst into each other and hack for 20 minutes. It's like Braveheart on your screen.

....ok so I only did that once. But it was amusing.

As a healing monk, and normally the only one in a group 9 times out of 10, I expect everyone to try as best they can... listen... and focus on getting things done without blame.

Wow, you must not PVP or give the ol' henchies some love. They need love to ya know..

Only thing that really bugs me is when I stand in Temple of Ages asking for a group to Underworld or Fissure of Woe and some moron invites me into a quest group...yeah that gets old. It's like they thinkg, "hmmm if i invite and zone out quickly he won't leave!"...........

"LFG- no morons" reminds me of the discriminartory advertisements in Chicago . . . NINA (No Irish Need Apply). To think of all those Morons left out there with no group makes me believe we live in the dark ages . . . or some sort of fanasy world with non-playing characters. LOL

If you're seriously offended by "LFG- no morons," you may be hypersensitive.

The problem here, is exactly what you're looking for when you say, "non-idiots only" or "people who work together"

My bet is, you're not necessarily looking for a "good player" -- because telling bad players not to join, is like asking all bad automobile drivers to move to the shoulder.

You're just looking for people just as frustrated as you are that their last group or two went really poorly. There's still just as high a chance that you'll recruit someone who doesn't really work well, but you've got to agree on how silly it sounds that you're asking it the way you're asking it.

Instead, shout in the zone: "LFG -- only people who are sick and tired of getting into horrible groups tonight"
